Early this morning, we will take you in an air-conditioned car to the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport, where we will board your flight to Lukla. It is a 30-35 minute very scenic flight where you will have a chance to feast your eyes on the very beautiful terrain. It's about a 4-hour walk along a friendly trail made more pleasant by small Sherpa settlements, prayer flags and mani stones carved and painted with Buddhist inscriptions. Once we arrive in Phakding, we check into the Khumbu's most luxurious hotel, Yeti Mountain Home, where we spend the night. Lunch and dinner will be served in the same hotel. If you are not tired, the nearby Rimijung Monastery, Choeling Monastery, Tye Kongma Monastery and Gomlha Monastery are good options to visit in Phakding. After a hearty breakfast at the hotel (Yeti Mountain Home), we leave Phakding and head towards Namche Bazaar, a horseshoe-shaped village in the Khumbu region that requires crossing a series of suspension bridges and walking uphill and downhill. Crossing the first bridge, an easy uphill walk past villages like Zapute, Toktok, Benkar and Chumoa first takes us to Monjo – the gateway to Sagarmatha National Park. After a few entry formalities we now enter the very famous Sagarmatha National Park. The path down from Monjo has us cross two more suspension bridges before climbing the final hill that takes us to Namche Bazaar. At this place, you can also enjoy the very first view of the alluring Mt. Everest. In Namche Bazaar, we will again stay at another branch of Yeti Mountain Home where you can enjoy all the facilities provided by Yeti Mountain Home in Phakding. In addition, you can also enjoy free Wi-Fi, as well as massages and relaxation treatments at the hotel itself. Both the dinners served and the accommodation provided at the hotel are top-notch. We spend the night at Yeti Mountain Home, Namche.

Day 5Hike to Shyangboche (3,720m/12,204ft) (2 hrs)

Today's destination is Shyangboche, about 2 hours walk from Namche. Therefore, after a hearty breakfast at Yeti Mountain Home, we set off to Shyangboche, which is located on a Himalayan hill behind Namche. After climbing the hill, we head north to our overnight stop, the Everest View Hotel in Shyangboche. Located at the highest altitude in the world, this hotel is listed in the Guinness Book of Records (2004). We check in at the hotel and enjoy the view of Everest and Ama Dablam, have a quick lunch. Since this day is purely dedicated to acclimatization, instead of climbing the altitude, we spend the day exploring the surrounding villages. For adequate acclimatization, it is always good to engage in activities rather than rest. Therefore, you have the choice of either visiting the largest Sherpa village, Khumjung, home to a monastery with a Yeti scalp, traditional Sherpa villages and a school built by Sir Edmund Hillary, or the jungle near Shyangboche, where there is a chance to spot Danphe and the occasional Himalayan Thar and musk deer . After one of these side trips, we return to the Everest View Hotel, where we spend the night. The hotel offers 5-star quality cuisine and accommodation. In addition, you can also enjoy free Wi-Fi and a small study.

Day 6Trek to Deboche (3,820m/12,532ft)

Today, after breakfast at the Everest View Hotel, we will leave Shyangboche and head first towards Sanas, which is also the junction of the Gokyo Valley and Everest Base Camp trails. From Sanasa we descend to Phunki Tenga where we cross a bridge before ascending to Tengboche Monastery. Tengboche Monastery is the largest and most important monastery in the Khumbu. We spend some time exploring the monastery grounds and then descend to Deboche for the night. Our stop in Deboche is Hotel Culture Home. After a long walk you can enjoy a comfortable accommodation with a spacious room, cozy bed and attached bathroom and very tasty organic food for dinner.

Day 7Trek to Pheriche (4,240m/12,910)

Our destination today is Pheriche. Therefore, after a quick breakfast at Hotel Culture Home, the trekking continues. We hike for a while and stop at Pangboche for a short rest before going up the valley along the river to Somare. The trail is accompanied by a very pleasant view of Mount Ama Dablam and other peaks and chortens and stupas. Crossing the bridge in Somare, the hike continues on a flat stony path to Orsho. The Himalayan Rescue Association, based in Pheriche, organizes lectures on altitude and altitude sickness in the Himalayas. After lunch, we can spend some time attending a lecture (optional) or resting and preparing for the next day. We spend the night in a very comfortable lodge in Pheriche.

Day 9Trek to Lobuche (4,910m/16,108ft)

After a hearty breakfast at the lodge, in order not to waste more time, we head towards today's destination - Lobuche, which is the last village on the way to Everest Base Camp. The way to the wooden bridge in Dughla is relatively easy. After crossing the bridge, however, we will have to cross the steep terminal of the Khumbu Glacier. Here you will come across memorials to Sherpas who lost their lives on the glaciers of Mount Everest. After the Khumbu glacier, we now gradually climb to the Lobuche settlement. Lobuche is our day stop, where accommodation and dinner are provided in a very comfortable lodge. Although not five-star quality, the food and accommodation still successfully surpasses the quality provided in other lodges in the mountains.

Day 10Trek to Gorakshep (5,140m/16,863ft) and Hike to Kala Patthar (5,550m) for a sunset view

After breakfast we leave Lobuche and head towards Gorakshep. Initially, the trail along the Khumbu Glacier is relatively easy. However, as we cross the Kangri Nup Glacier, the constant ups and downs on glacial moraines and altitude make it a little difficult. After these ups and downs we now reach Gorakshep, the last night stop on the Everest Base Camp trail. Gorakshep is located at the bottom of Kala Patthar - a famous viewpoint in the Everest region. After lunch at the lodge we will now hike all the way to the top of Kala Patthar to enjoy the sunset view from Kala Patthar. We spend some time enjoying the view of the sunset, the amazing view of Mt. Everest, Everest Base Camp, Khumbu Icefall, Nuptse, Pumori and other surrounding peaks. We will now descend to Gorakshep for an overnight stay. Your accommodation and dinner will be provided at the most comfortable lodge in Gorakshep so you can enjoy comfortable accommodation and fresh organic food.

We will spend some time enjoying the surroundings and taking photos. Then we will fly back to Kathmandu by helicopter from the base camp. The helicopter flight will again give us the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful terrain and at the same time say goodbye to the Khumbu region of Nepal. From the airport in Kathmandu, we will take you to the Hyatt Regency Hotel, where you can once again enjoy the luxury of top-notch food and accommodation. You can enjoy the comfort of a 5-star hotel.

Day 12Leisure day in Kathmandu

This day is free and you can spend it as you wish. Some good options are day trips in Kathmandu or walking around the markets of Kathmandu. An air-conditioned car will be provided to and from the hotel. However, if you are too tired to try any of these options, you can either relax at the hotel or enjoy the casino or other facilities that the hotel has to offer. Enjoy 5-star accommodation and fine dining at the Hyatt Regency.
