Description

Everest Panorama trek is a very popular trek that can be completed in a short time. It is suitable for those who desire a short trek with beautiful mountains and an insight into the Himalayan lifestyle. It gives the traveler an opportunity to come into contact with a well-known ethnic group of people called the Sherpas. This trek will not take you all the way to Mount Everest Base Camp, but it will still give you excellent views of the beautiful mountains, including Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Thamserku and many other peaks.

This tour also includes visits to several cultural heritage sites spread throughout the Kathmandu Valley, as well as a trip to the natural heritage of Sagarmatha National Park, which offers a variety of colorful flora and fauna. At the same time, you will enjoy a walk through the Dudhkoshi Valley crossing high suspension bridges, passing by many Buddhist prayer rocks and viewing pine and rhododendron flower forests as well as small farm terraces located on the sloping mountain slopes. You will also get a chance to see a huge domestic animal, the yak, which is used to take care of the heavy loads of trekking equipment and other necessities for the huts and villagers.

Special Note: Due to unpredictable weather conditions in the Himalayas, there may be unforeseen changes in the flight schedule of domestic flights to and from Lukla. Flights may be delayed by a few hours or delayed by a day or more, depending on the circumstances. Although rare, it can happen even during peak tourist seasons. As you know, high altitude weather can be difficult to predict. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you plan to wait an extra day or two in Nepal if possible. This will help give you some flexibility when it comes to your trek. On the other hand, if everything goes according to plan, you will have time for other activities such as rafting, wildlife viewing, shopping or just relaxing after the adventure.

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu(1300m/4264ft)

Firstly, on arriving in Kathmandu, our representative will pick you up from the airport. He/She will be holding up the signboard outside the airport terminal. You will then be escorted to your hotel. You can visit our office to get more information about the trek. In case you happen to arrive after 4 pm, you will be briefed about the trip by our authorized guide. Please make sure to carry along your passport, 3 copies of passport-sized photos and a readable copy of your travel insurance policy. Also, make sure to clear any due balance and then sign on the legally binding trip form as well as the non-liability disclaimer form. You can stroll around the city in the evening. Stay overnight at the Hotel. No meals are included.

Day 2Trek preparation day

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and get ready to meet your guide to check your equipment, arrange a meeting with other trekking members and discuss the trek. Afterwards, you can relax all day and prepare for the trek to Everest Base Camp. An option is to do a cultural tour of the Kathmandu Valley or a day hike near Kathmandu through the jungle in preparation for the trek, but you will have to pay extra for this. We would recommend the best to do at the given time according to the weather conditions. Stay in a 3-star boutique hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 3Fly to Lukla & trek to Monjo (2800m/9184ft), 4-5 hrs walk

Our guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the domestic airport and fly to Lukla. It's a beautiful 35-minute scenic flight that offers great scenery. Meet our Sherpa at the airport and get ready for trekking during breakfast at the lodge. Then continue the first day of trekking towards Monja. At the beginning, an easy walk along a stone paved path to the edge of Lukla and descent to Bhaisekharka. The trail leads through the valley and you will reach Monju after several ups and downs. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 4Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,445m)- 3 to 4 hours walk

After a hot breakfast, continue on foot to the National Park entrance office, where the guide will complete the formalities and continue down to the bridge. Cross the suspension bridge through the town to the next bridge and continue to the high Hilary Bridge below the hill. Then the trail climbs steeply towards Namche. Getting to Namche Bazzar is a tough climb at the end of the day. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 5Acclimatize day.

Today is an acclimatization day, but that doesn't mean staying at the cabin. Visit the villages of Khumjung and Khongde, the Sherpa Museum in Namche and visit the National Park Headquarters. Spend the rest of your time exploring the city and visit the Tibetan market or the Saturday market if you're there on a Saturday or Friday. It is a great market for locals where many people from the region come together to buy things for daily life. This market is held every Friday evening and all Saturday. Stay overnight in Namche.

Your day starts with a short challenging climb after breakfast to reach the ridge and an easy walk towards Kyanjua. It has great views on the way to the world's highest mountain, Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kondge and other mountains. The trail descends to Fungi Tanga ten climbs to Tengboche through forest. Evening visit to Tengboche Monastery and overnight stay at the hotel.

After the morning ceremony at the monastery, breakfast and continue walking downhill to the bottom of the hill and the trail climbs to Kyanjum. After an easy walk to Namche, descend steeply to Hilary Bridge and continue on foot to Phakding for the night.

Day 8Phakding to Lukla (2800m/9184ft), 3-4 hrs walk

Today is the last day of the trek. The trail leads over the Mani rocks (Prayer Rocks) and passes through the town to Lukla. A short climb at the end to get to Lukla for a big celebration with the Sherpa and the trek members. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 9Lukla to Kathmandu by flight (1,300m/4,264 ft)

Usually the flight is always in the morning because of the weather. So the guide will take care of all the airport formalities before you can have breakfast at the lodge. Your luggage will already reach the airport with the help of our Sherpas and porters. Once the guide receives news of your arrival at Lukla airport, he calls you to watch the small plane land on the small airstrip. After a quick photo shoot, get to the airport and straight away board the plane to fly to Kathmandu. Once you are at the airport in Kathmandu, your guide will help you to get to your hotel by private vehicle.
