Trip information:

The Annapurna Himalayan (Ghorepani and Poon Hill) trek begins and finishes in Pokhara; a colourful venture into the Annapurna region. The trail breezes through muddle valleys, dense mossy forests and past icy waterfalls where you can halt to cool your face. During the Annapurna Himalayan trek, every corner is an original and tempting glimpse of the high mountains, whole extents of which will be revealed to you as you reach the high peak of your trek. Trekking to the viewpoint at Poon Hill will offer you unobstructed mountain scenes.

Annapurna Himalayan is an effortless trek where you can view the panoramic mountain scenery through beautiful villages inhabited by Gurungs, Magars and other ethnic groups, thick rhododendron forests full of birds and wide sub-tropical valleys, all set under the Annapurnas with the striking peak of Machhapuchhare (Fish Tail Peak) overlooking the skyline.

 

Day 1Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport

Firstly, on arriving in Kathmandu, our representative will pick you up from the airport. He/She will be holding up the signboard outside the airport terminal. You will then directly be escorted to your hotel. You can visit our office to get more information about the trek. In case you happen to arrive after 4 pm, you will be briefed about the trip by our authorized guide. Please make sure to carry along your passport, 3 copies of passport-sized photos and a readable copy of your travel insurance policy. Also, make sure to clear any due balance and then sign on the legally binding trip form as well as the non-liability disclaimer form. You can stroll around the city in the evening. Stay overnight at the Hotel. No meals are included.

Day 2Tour around the valley

We will start our day with a satisfying breakfast and leave around 8.30 am on a private vehicle and an authorized tour guide at your company. We will visit the world heritage sites around the valley, some including Bhaktapur Durbar Square- the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, the Royal Residential Quarter of Bhupatindra Malla, is a famous five-storied temple of Nyatapola in Pagoda style Batsala temple, Bhairavnath temple, Duttatraya temple, Pujari Muth and Palace of 55 windows. Pashupatinath Temple is the sacred temple located on the bank of the holy Bagmati river. Although one cannot enter the main temple unless they are Hindus, you can see the temple and observe the activities performed from the eastern Bagmati river. Boudhanath Stupa is the biggest and holiest stupa built in the 5th century. You will find Buddhists pilgrims from all over the world especially Tibet, taking rounds of the stupa and spinning the prayer wheels. Then we can go for further exploration around the Thamel and shop for the next day’s trekking gears Stay overnight at the hotel. Breakfast included.

Day 3Drive to Pokhara.

The next morning, our trekking will pick you up from the hotel at 6.30 am and drop you at the bus station. We will take a tourist bus to Pokhara at around 7.30 am ( 7 hours ) and explore the outskirts of the beautiful lake city. We will be driving along the Trishuli and Marsyandi River so one can expect to get an elegant view of the river banks. This will give you an immense opportunity to observe the green lush side of Nepal and enjoy the views of Macchapuchhre and Annapurna in the north, as we move further away from Kathmandu. On reaching, you will spend the night at the hotel. Breakfast is included.

Day 4Drive to Nayapul and Trek to Tikhedunga

We will begin our trek from Nayapul after an hour-long drive on a private vehicle from Pokhara. After a short 15-minute walk along the banks of the Modi Khola, we will reach Birethanti (1,015 m), a huge village with several shops and teahouses. From there, we will continue through the village and follow the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola. The trail escalates firmly up the side of the valley to Hille at an altitude of 1,495 m. After a short ascent, we will reach Tikhedhunga at an altitude of 1,570 m. The walk is supposed to be short and easy today, preparation for the trekking experience in the Annapurna region. Stay at the guesthouse overnight. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.

Day 5Trek to Ghorepani

After breakfast, we will continue our trek to Ghorepani (2840m) - it takes about 5 hours. Throughout you will discover small but spectacular waterfalls, fine bridges, forests of oak and rhododendrons and children walking to schools. Then we will trek towards Nangethanti (2460 m) from where Ghorepani is just an hour walk away. Stay overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.

Day 6Trek to Poon Hill and Tadapani

Then early morning we will continue our trek to Poon hill (3210m). After a few hours of a steep climb will offer an awestruck view of the pastel sunrise. We will spend one-hour and then return to Ghorepani where we will have a warm breakfast. We will ascend along the ridges and walk along with pine and rhododendron forests on our way to Deurali (2960 m). Then we will take a descending route to Banthanti and stop at Tadapani. Stay overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.

Day 7Trek to Ghandruk (1940 m) - 4 hours

Soon after our breakfast, we will begin walking from Tadapani, where the path descends through forests until we reach Ghandruk, village to the Gurungs. The Gurungs have their own culture, lifestyle, costume, and dialect. Stay overnight at a hotel. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included

Day 8Trek to Nayapul (1010 m) and drive to Pokhara - 5 hours

Today, we are going to complete our trek at Nayapul followed by a brief drive back to Pokhara. On reaching Pokhara, you can have a relaxing afternoon, take a stroll around the lakeside, take pictures and have a pleasant evening. Stay overnight at a hotel. Breakfast and lunch are included.

Day 9Return to Kathmandu- 7 hours

After breakfast, we will return to Kathmandu, via a tourist bus which will take around 7 hours. In the evening, farewell dinner in a traditional Nepalese restaurant will be organized with cultural performances. Stay overnight at the hotel. Breakfast and dinner are included. If you wish to extend the trip and have some more time spare, there are several options like adventure sports and other activities.

Day 10Transfer to the Airport

We will provide you with the morning breakfast. Lastly, our representative will escort you to the International airport a few hours before the scheduled flight.
