Kathmandu Pokhara Luxury Tour will let you come across all the best places of two major cities in Nepal. Pokhara is also known as ‘the city of lakes’. It is located in the Kaski district in the Western Region of Nepal. Pokhara is 200 km from Kathmandu city. Pokhara is one of the most attractive tourist destinations.
During this luxury tour, you will be traveling on a comfortable private vehicle accompanied by a professional guide. The accommodation throughout the tour will be at 5-star hotels on a twin co-operative basis (Single additive will be available on appeal). You will have enough time to roam around and buy souvenirs on this trip.
Day 1Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport
Firstly, on arriving in Kathmandu, our representative will pick you up from the airport. He/She will be holding up the signboard outside the airport terminal. You will be escorted to your hotel in a private tourist vehicle. Stay overnight at a hotel. No meals are included.
Day 2Meeting at 8 am and tour around the valley
At 8:00 am, we will have a pre-trip meeting at the hotel where you will be introduced to your tour guide. Take this moment to inquire and clear your doubts about the tour. We will give you a final briefing before the tour. Please make sure to carry along your passport, 3 copies of passport-sized photos and a readable copy of your travel insurance policy. Also, make sure to clear any due balance and then sign on the legally binding trip form as well as the non-liability disclaimer form. The sightseeing trip will begin at around 8:45 am. We will visit a few world heritage sites and holy temples around the valley: Swoyambhunath Stupa aka The Monkey Temple: It lies on the top of a hill. It is one of the most religious Buddhist stupas and its foundation is associated with Kathmandu. The countless monkeys living on the premises is one of its attractions. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is the Royal Residential Quarter of Bhupatindra Malla, is a famous five-storied temple of Nyatapola in Pagoda style Batsala temple, Bhairavnath temple, Duttatraya temple, Pujari Muth and Palace of 55 windows. Pashupatinath Temple is the sacred temple located on the bank of the holy Bagmati river. One cannot enter the main temple unless they are Hindus, you can see the temple and observe the activities performed from the east of the Bagmati river. Boudhanath Stupa is the biggest and holiest stupa built in the 5th century. You will find Buddhists pilgrims from all over the world especially Tibet, taking rounds of the stupa and spinning the prayer wheels. Stay overnight at a 5-star hotel. Breakfast is included.
Day 3Flight to Pokhara
We will catch a flight to Pokhara at 8:30 am. After checking in at the hotel in Pokhara and finishing up other formalities, we will begin our sightseeing at 11:00 am. You will be accompanied by our professional city guide on a private tourist vehicle and visit the following sites: Bindhyabasini Temple, lying in the center of the religious bazaar is said to have been built in the late 18th century by King Prithvi Narayan Shah. The temple is dedicated to the Goddess Bhagwati, the protector of Pokhara. Davis Fall, a tremendous waterfall in Pokhara is surrounded by flora. It is different from the other falls due to its natural phenomenon. The waterfall is locally known as Patale Chhango. It is widely popular among tourists as well as locals. Gupteshwor Cave, located 2 km from the Pokhara airport is right across from Davis fall and the cave is almost 3 km long. It consists of some large rooms and passages where you have to crawl. The cave holds unique value to Hindus since a phallic symbol of Lord Shiva is preserved here in the condition it was discovered. Seti River Gorges, carved by the Seti Gandaki River is one of the natural phenomena of Pokhara. K.I. Singh bridge at Bagar, Prithivi Highway Bridge and Mahendrapool near bus park provide a perfect view of the river’s offensive rush and the deep gorge made by the uncontrolled flow of white water. Tibetan Refugee Camps- Tibetan village Tashiling in the south and the Tashi Palkhel village in the north of Pokhara are renowned for the production and trade of woolen carpets and other handicrafts. The first Tibetan homesteaders in this area relocated to Nepal in the late 50s. World Peace Pagoda is also known as Pokhara Shanti Stupa. It is a Buddhist pagoda-style monument. It is the reliquary built as a symbol of peace. The spot is located at the height of 2,100 m on the Ananda Hill. Nepal owns two of the 80 peace pagodas in the world which are Shanti Stupa in Lumbini (the birthplace of Buddha), and Shanti Stupa in Pokhara. It also provides a scenic view of the Annapurna range, Fewa Lake, and Pokhara city. Stay overnight at the hotel. Breakfast is included.
Day 4Drive back to Kathmandu
After breakfast, we will return to Kathmandu, via a tourist bus which will take around 7 hours. Upon reaching, you will be escorted to your hotel. You can spend your afternoon and evening strolling on the streets to look for souvenirs to take home. In the evening, farewell dinner in a traditional Nepalese restaurant will be organized with cultural performances. Stay overnight at the hotel. Breakfast and dinner are included. If you wish to extend the trip and have some more time to spare, there are several options like adventure sports and other activities. Stay overnight at the hotel. Day 5Transfer to the Airport
We will provide you with the morning breakfast. Lastly, our representative will escort you to the International airport a few hours before the scheduled flight. Breakfast will be provided.
